Is there something Mr Zubak doesn’t do?

Painting, etching, sculpture, digital image, photo etching, toys…. just when you think that’s about it for a painter, Marko Zubak manages to surprise one more time; with his brilliant paper toys series and YeboMaycu project.

Exploring his talent in a family Gallery, on an Rab Island, Markos affection for arts lead him to Accademia delle belle Arti di Bologna, Italy; where he participated in various collective expositions of etching while working for both Italian and Croatian magazines as an illustrator. After three years of studying in Italy he moved to Barcelona concluding his degree in Facultad de Bellas Artes de Barcelona.

While I let you enjoy his interesting, dark and edgy emotionally driven work at his official web page I can’t resist mentioning something bright and witty:YeboMaycu project that is still in progress but the point is already more than visible: expression through paper toy design. Theme is simple and fun – t-shirt or should I say paper toy t-shirt. And what is it used for? Well it’s a toy; fun is all you need, and fun is what it brings.

Mr Zubak, I can only end this with the following thoughts: can’t wait to see what else you’ve been hiding in your sleeve.
